How many of you have a secret code name? No one?
I didn’t either until….
My mom and dad had a meeting to go to the other day, so they said I
could spend the day with my grandma and grandpa. It’s always so much
fun over there. Mom forgot her key to grandma’s house, so she had to
knock on grandma’s door.
“Who’s there?” asked grandma.
“It’s me your daughter,” said my mom.
“How do I know it’s you? You could be the mailman, the milkman or
some serious CIA undercover agent,” said grandma.
“Oh no! grandma and grandpa have been watching CIA secret agent spy
movies again. They’re not going to open the door until I give them my
secret code name,” said my mom.
“You have a secret code name?” I said.
“Well yes, I’ve had it since I was a little kid, said my mom. I’m just not
sure I remember it. Got it. Mom it’s ‘Kitty Kat.”
“Okay dear, come on in,” said grandma.
So, I spent the day with my grandparents. We went to the park, to the
movies and to my favorite ice cream shop. That night, when I got home,
I asked Mom and dad if we could all have secret code names, just in
case grandma decides to not let us in again. And besides, I thought it
would be kinda fun. Mom laughed and was actually excited about it.
We started with….
Nanny Franny.…Nanny Franny wanted something very mysterious. She
became Agent Lena Love.
Dad….Since he biked often with his friends on the weekend, he became
Agent Biker.
Mom….Mom wanted something very southern sounding. So, mom
became Agent Lulu Belle. Agent L.B. for short.
Puppy….We named her Agent Pretty Girl. We think she liked it.
Me….It took me awhile to find a name, but when I did it was perfect.
Agent Patti Pigtail. Don’t you just love it.
Grandma and grandpa heard about us all having secret codes names
and they asked us to make up secret code names for them. Can’t think
of anything just yet. We’ll keep you posted.
