A New Name

If you could change your name, what would it be? We talk about it all the time in my class at school. So, next week my teacher is letting us all change our names for one day, and she will call us by that name the whole day. It’s going to be so much fun. We have a whole week to decide on a name. I’ve been thinking about what name I would want instead of Penny. Some of the kids want silly names like Susie Sundae, Billy Bingo and Jellybean Jerry. One of the boys wants to be called Christopher Columbus. Now that’s silly. Because I want to be a famous writer one day, I need a name that sounds famous, so that everywhere I go people will know me. So, I came up with what I think is the perfect name. It’s Harper Holly Higgins. Don’t you love it? I can see my name on billboards all over the country. Every talk show will want me as a guest. I am on the best sellers book list year after year. Wow, now that’s famous. Of course, the next day I will have to go back to being Penny, but that’s okay. After all I am only six and have lots of time to become famous.

I love a bowl of sour cream mixed with sliced peaches and bananas. Sometimes I sprinkle a little bit of sugar on top.

I like wheat thins with slices of munster cheese and a cup of red and green seedless grapes on the side.

It’s my snack time again. Better be going.
